Getting a straighter smile doesn’t have to come with a mouth full of metal.

Sure, those childhood years can often be filled with metal braces in the hopes of getting a straighter smile but not everyone was lucky enough to get braces when they needed to. If you are now an adult wishing they could fix their crooked smile our Easley, SC orthodontistClearcorrect Dr. David Waters can do just that without the need for embarrassing metal braces.

About ClearCorrect

These clear aligners are worn over your upper and/or lower teeth to achieve a straighter smile without the need for traditional braces. This treatment is similar to Invisalign in that they both use clear, customized aligners that are designed to shift teeth over time to correct and improve your smile.

ClearCorrect uses a four-phase system, in which each phase requires a new set of aligners. Each aligner is worn for about three weeks before being replaced. Aligners must be worn as much as possible and only removed when eating and drinking or while brushing and flossing.

As you continue throughout your ClearCorrect treatment, you will start to see a gradual change in your smile. During your treatment, you will come in for regular checkups to make sure that everything is progressing as it should.

The length of treatment depends on what issues are being addressed and how severe they are. On average, treatment can last anywhere from one to two years. With ClearCorrect there are three different treatment options to consider:

  • Unlimited: In which the patient gets as many aligners as is needed to get the results they want.
  • Limited 12: Patients are given 12 different sets of aligners.
  • Limited 6: Patients are given six different sets of aligners.

In order to decide which ClearCorrect treatment option would work best with your needs, it’s important to first be evaluated by your Easley orthodontist Dr. Waters.
